Just to add to the confusion: From "Marriages and Marriage Evidence in Pennsylvania German Churches" Donna Irish and from "Dauphin County, PA, Church Records" Dauphin County, Lykens Valley Lower Church, aks St. David's Reformed, Upper Paxtang Township Heinrich MAYER, married Susanna FROLICH, dau of Johannes, 4 Dec 1825, both of 'Millerstown', (Irish) 'Millersburg' (Dauphin County Church Records) Wit: Georg ETZWEILER, Abraham NEUKOMMER, Henrich FROLICH. The question, of course, is whether they were from Millersburg in Dauphin and got married 'at home' or from Millerstown in Perry and crossed the river to get married. By 1830 they are in Richland County OH, where their daughter Susan married Solomon Fenical of Perry County.
I came across a marriage I was looking for listed in the "Records of Pastoral Acts at Zion Lutheran Church, Harrisburg, Dauphin Co.,PA 1795-1827". Transcribed by F. Weiser. The marriage was Friedr. FRANCK to Cath. MAYERN, May 23, 1809. There was also a Johann FRANCK m. Elisabeth KUNZ, April 4, 1804. Johann Deitrich Petersen was pastor for both marriages. Also listed in the book are baptisms. They are grouped under headings such as: In Klerck's Valley(Clarke's?), In Harrisburg, In Sheerman's Valley(Sherman's?) Johann and Elisabeth FRANCK have a son Jorck bp. June 2, 1808 lived under Sheerman's Valley so I'm guessing that's where they lived. It seems as though the pastor traveled to these valleys and went over to Perry (then Cumberland) county. So here are records belonging to a church in Harrisburg but members located on both sides of the Susquehanna and quite a distance from Harrisburg.
