    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/odB.2ACI/826 Message Board Post: They are in the 1870 Susquehanna twp, Dauphin, Pa census. Henry is 38, Catharine is 26. 2 daughters: Fanny is 5, Emma Mary is 2. In the 1880 Greenwood, Perry census, there is a third daughter, Maggie, aged 6 months, born in November 1879, not 1880 (the census was taken in June of 1880 minus 6 months and it has to be November of 1879.) In the 1900 Greenwood, Perry census, Henry says he was born in February of 1831, Catharine says she was born in July of 1840 and that both of her parents were born in Germany. The only one still living with them is daughter Emma Mary who says she was born in July of 1870. As the Susquehanna census was taken in August of 1870 and she was listed as 2 years old at that time, I gather she is fudging her age and was probably born about 1868. Henry and Catharine say that they have been married 36 years (1864?) and that they have had 3 children only and that all 3 survive by the 1900 census. In the 1860 Harrisburg, Dauphin census, Henry is 27 and with (presumably) his sister Susan who is 24 and (presumably) their mother, Fannie, aged 64+. In the 1850 Susquehanna twp, Dauphin census, are Fanney (aged 50) and daughter Susan (aged 13). Fannie/y is presumably now a widow. In the 1840 Susquehanna census is Andrew Shrenk (transcribed as Shunk), showing that he was born sometime between 1790 and 1800. I am guessing that this is the father of Henry and Susan and that Fanny was his wife. I notice that Henry and Catharine named their first daughter Fanny too, so it seems logical. Apparently, Susan C. (for Crall?) Shrenk married Levi M. Leitzel on January 15, 1861. They too named a daughter Fanny. They moved to Watervliet, New York where Susan died November 26, 1915. They had 10 children, of whom just 5 survived by 1900. Susan was born in Susquehanna twp, Dauphin county, Pa. Levi was born in Pa as well (Cumberland county, I think). I am not researching this family. Hope all this helps, Sue

    3. I just got a piece of email with a return address of: paperry-l@rootsweb.com and a subject line of : "Re: Your details" The body of the message says: "Here is the file." The "file" is an attachement with a .pif extension meaning, as an executable file, it almost certainly contains some kind of nasty virus. Two other things indicate the message is bogus and contains a virus: 1) Rootsweb mailing lists don't allow attachments, and 2) I wasn't a subscriber to paperry-L until just now. But if you are a subscriber, you might inadvertently open the message, hence my warning here. Be safe.

Clayanne Hale Wymer, a daughter of Lewis and Margaret (Fleck) Hale, was born at Bloomfield, Pa., on March 15, 1863. The family was composed of the father and mother and eight children. Mrs. Wymer was raised at Ore Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Wymer were married at Roaring Spring on March 30, 1881, by Rev. J. A. J. Williams, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church of that place. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Wymer went to the housekeeping at Hopewell, where they lived until April, 1897, when they moved to Huntingdon, where they have since resided continuously since that date. Mr. Wymer has been a faithful employee at the Pennsylvania Industrial reformatory from January, 1896, until his retirement in March, 1930, where he was turnkey at the main entrance, leaving an enviable record of thirty-four years' service. He has passed all degrees in the I. O. O. F. and P. O. S. of A., fraternities, and has held a number of offices in the respective lodges. For twenty years or more he has been a steward in the First Methodist church of Huntingdon.
