The McAllister/McCallister wills are now on line in one file. 1763-1792 six of them. at least two are from what is now Perry Co. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/pa/cumberland/wills.htm Hope it helps someone.... joe
Thanks, jpatter. I've seen the extract, but not the entire will before. I have long thought Tobias could be Daniel's father, but need to do more research. Tax and land records may establish a connection. I'll put them on my to-do list. An original copy of the will or pages from the will book would also be nice to see if the son's name is Samuel or Daniel, as he is called both in the transcription. Also on my to-do list. Found in my notes -- Daniel McAllister d. 3 Nov 1821 and was constable in Rye Twp. Would love to compare notes off list with others researching this name.
Tobias McAllister of Rye Twp had a son Daniel.... who was not 21 in 1795.... This will is not in the archives as yet..... just got it.....
