    3. I found a Mary E. Yocum age 51 WD living in Chambersburg Franklin Co., PA. The image is very poor quality. Living with her is a son ? B. age 22. There are others in the house but not readable. This image is Year: 1900; Census Place: Chambersburg Ward 2, Franklin, Pennsylvania; Roll: T623 1412; Page: 7B; Enumeration District: 35. I hope this helps. You can contact me at ldsabrown@adelphia.net and I can send the image. YOCUM Hello Fellow Listers: Does anyone have access to the 1900 Census and Soundex? If so, could you please do a look-up for a David T. YOCUM who would be about 67 years of age and possibly married to a Mary who would be about 50 years of age. A son, Charles B. YOCUM aged about 22 could also be living with them. They were last found on the 1880 Census living on Broad St., Chambersburg, Franklin Co., PA.. David was previously married to a Susanna who died in 1872 and they had several children and lived in Perry Co., PA.. Thanks in advance for any help! 3. Hi Cheryl: Long time no see - what's up with you out there? Haven't seen ya at the Perry Historians for a while? How did you guess that this is for Barb? I know, she told me she got in contact with you! Isn't it a small, small world? Thanks for the added info - I'll forward it on to Barb! Not sure if you know or not - or if you're even interested in David - but he and Mary are buried in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Chambersburg - another lister found an index for that cemetery for me - no dates - just names and pages for the cemetery tombstone books. Surnames: Quiggle, Quickel, Shull Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/odB.2ACI/663.17 Message Board Post: Hello Susan, I would like to take you up on your very kind offer to look up family information in the History of the Susquehanna & Juniata Valleys. I am looking for any information on Quiggle/Quickel families, specifically Peter Quiggle and his son John Michael Quiggle. Peter moved from Lancaster Co to the Turkey Valley region of Cumberland County in the 1760's to 1770's. He appears in the 1789 Fermanagh Twp tax list. He is also reported to have lived in the vicinity of Seven Stars. He was a miller or millwright by trade. His son, John Michael Quiggle, is reputed to have been a river man and to have owned a still. He married Betsey Shull abt 1798 in Greenwood Twp in what is now Perry County but was possibly Juniatta County at the time. Any information you can share on these individuals or their families is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your willingness to look up family information in the History of the Susquehanna & Juniata Valleys.

    3. Hello Marcia, Are you aware that there is a Knisley Genforum, Website URL is http://genforum.genealogy.com/knisely/ . I don't know if it will help at all because the time frame is later than your information, but there might be a tie-in to a Pastor Knisely who served at the Port Royal Lutheran Church in the late 19th C. or early 20th C. His name was John B. Knisley. He might have been a descendant of your Jacob Knisley. His descendants are now in the Glendale CA area and I believe they have done some work on their family's history. I can remember that one of the younger pastors is named Carl Knisley. Sometime after Pastor John B. Knisley moved from Port Royal he came to Northumberland Co. and served the Point Twp. church where I was a member. He had three sons, at least two of whom became Lutheran pastors. If you want to pursue this possible lead, a Website for archived church records of Lutherans is at http://www.elca.org/archives/index.html . Click on "Genealogy" in the gray line near the top of the page. Hope you find the Knisleys in their archives. Nelson R.
