This seems to indicate that someone else took over the Kell funeral parlors after this Charles Kell that you mention, because he was already 66 years old in 1920. If he was the one who did my ggrandmother's funeral in 1933, he would have been 79 years old and, though possible, would be highly unlikely. But the Kell funeral parlors were still operating under that name in 1933 since this is what her obituary says. > > Does Charles Kell appear in the 1930 census? > > Do you know how close Newport is to where the funeral home was? I don't know if it was still operational, but my grandmother was friends with Mrs. Kell. Bill Snyder

    2. Again, many thanks for the information you have provided. It helps put some small pieces of the puzzle together. I will have to search other counties for the Griffeys. I do know now that William H (Not M as I originally thought) Dunlap's father was Joseph Dunlap and he died in Duncannon, Pa. Feb. 16, 1897 at the age of 85 yrs and 3 days. He was born Feb. 19, 1812. We find he is also buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Duncannon. Would there be any census info on Joseph Dunlap and perhaps his wife? I do not know her name. They would be my great great grandparents.

I would appreciate anything that can be found on her. I am interested in her family name (Griffey) as I have found no clue yet as to her mother and father. If you can find anything earlier on her or on her husband I would appreciate it - many thanks. It is interesting to hear of the census record information gathered on the family. By the way, the daughter who she lived with was named Roby Baker. My grandmother was her other surviving daughter, Mabel Dunlap who married Grover Snyder.

    2. Melissa's relationship with the Reisinger family is included in Doug Reisinger's book, "The Reisinger Family: Descendants of Peter Reisinger" that was released in 1999. In addition to the five children you list, there was also Guy, Mary Ellen, Margaret L. Joseph Jacob and Nellie Marie. Thomas Jefferson (Edgar) Reisinger is a brother of my great-grandfather. There is more on Melissa's ancestry included in Gregg Jacobs' recent publication, "The Descendants of Peter Jacobs." I think both of these publications will help you greatly in your search on behalf of your friend. Rita [Snyder] Chatham

    3. I have a question and a short offer. The question is can anyone provide information on a Daniel FRY who lived in Greenwood Twp.? While copying tax lists that included my ancestor Frederick FRONK/FRUNK, Daniel FRY is listed from 1843 to 1849. (Those were the years that I searched). I came across a Daniel Fry in the 1830's tax list in Cambria Co. and would like to know if there is a connection. The Daniel Fry in Cambria Co. was partner in a sawmill operation with another ancestor, Isaac Gifford. The short offer is that I have Rye township 1840 tax information (cows, horses, acres, occupation, ect.) on the following men: John Foulk John Finical George Folker Samuel Fisher Thanks, Marcia Fronk
