From the Sunbury Daily Item, Tues., Aug. 16, 1938 MISS GOYNE AWARDED DEGREE AT PENN STATE Miss Mildred GOYNE, instructor in Sunbury High School, has returned home from Penn State College. During the past six weeks she has been in attendance at the French Institute and last week received her master's degree from the college. VISIT IN REGION W. L. GUTELIUS and daughter, Mrs. Warren SMITH, returned to their home in Washington, Sunday after spending the past week with friends and relatives in Shamokin, Northumberland and parts of Columbia County. In Shamokin they visited with Mr. and Mrs. E. L. HOWELL; in Northumberland with C. Warren GUTELIUS and Mr. and Mrs. William LESHER and also with Mrs. G. M. HOWELL and son, Murheid, at Rolling Green. TO LEAVE FOR CANADA Mr. and Mrs. Byron BROUSE and son, Bobby, and Mr. and Mrs. Francis BROUSE and son, Eddie, left today for a week's trip to St. John's, Canada. Enroute they plan to tour the New England states. RETURN HOME Mr. and Mrs. Ralph GASS of Water street returned home last night from a four day trip to Erie, Niagara Falls and Toronto, Canada.
