From the Sunbury Daily Item, Saturday, Aug. 20, 1938 DR. H.Y HARTMAN, GRATZ NATIVE, SUCCUMBS AT 81 Dr. H. Y. HARTMAN, one of Schuylkill county's oldest physicians, died Thursday night at his home in Orwigsburg at the age of 81. He had practiced medicine 57 years. A native of Gratz, Dr. HARTMAN was the son of Benneville and Elizabeth COLEMAN HARTMAN. He was a graduate of Jefferson Medical College and located in Orwigsburg in 1880.
