    3. Sunbury is near the confluence of the North & West branches of the Susquehanna River. It is situated on the east side of the river, just below the confluence. This will show on any map of Pennsylvania you look at. Highway maps will show where US Routes 11 and 15 converge on the west side of the Susquehanna River. Sunbury is directly across, on the east side of the river. You can search online for any populated place in the USA at http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form At this same Website, you can click on the 'Feature type' and look at the drop-down menu to find almost any thing or any place you can think of in the USA!
