This is a stab in the dark!! My husband's McCLAIN line came from the Coshocton co, Ohio area. I cannot find him in the records though there are McCLAIN families there. I believe they came from Penn. Do you have any info on lines coming into the mid-eastern part of Ohio? Joseph married a gal from Noble co, OH, but in Athens co, OH. I have two Joseph McClains who died. One of disease in the Civil War, one in Athens co prior to the war. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! I don't have any info on McClains in that part of Ohio. I have found McClains in Clermont Co. and Brown Co. in s/w Ohio that were connected to my McCormick line. I'm still trying to match them up in Pa. Thanks.
