    3. The one on the Social Security Death Index is not him! That one was born in California! If I were you I would go to switchboard.com and enter Don Messner with no state listed. There are 30 +, how much would it cost to send letters out? You can eliminate the Jr's. Now for my question. Where can I find a copy of the book you mention? "A Genealogy of Selectred Northumberland County Pennsylvania Pioneer Families from the Arrival of the Immigrant Ancestors to the Present Time" Part Six, (The Vought (Voght, Voight, Voigt) Family), compiled by Joseph A. Meiser, Jr., B.S., Ph.D. and Sarah Roadarmel Meiser, 1978. Laura a VOUGHT descendant DigMyPast@msn.com Source: PANORTHU-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [PANORTHU-L] Donald Messner Have you tried the Social Security Death Index (SSDI)? There are seven Donald Messners listed there, one of which was born in 1930. The SSDI is available free on the Rootsweb website, and also on other websites. --- John Shipman Hendricks <JSHendricks@earthlink.net> wrote: > I am trying to find a a specific family: Grace > Vought, b 19 Mar > 1908, married Arthur Messner. The book actually contains ten parts on different Northumberland County families. Joseph A. Meiser, Jr. is the Compiler. The year it was published by the authors was 1978. The book was microfiled 11/5/91 and it is on Roll #XLIB7-102 3223 and Call #1697511. I last spoke with Joe (Joseph Meiser) shortly after his wife's death last year. He is now using as a publisher: DDRAIG GOCH PUBLICATIONS Robert L K Jones PO Box 87, Grantham, PA 17027 I have also been in touch with Bob Jones and have purchased several of Joe's Burial books through him. You might want to contact him by mail or email (see his address on the cc: above) and ask for a complete listing of Joe's books. (There are about 40 of them.) I am sending a copy of this message to Bob to alert him to the possibility that you might contact him. I do not know if "The Vought Family" is available or not. Regards from Vero Beach, FL John Shipman Hendricks PS How are you linked to the VOUGHT line.

    3. Hello List. I have discovered a wonderful site for the Higginson Book PUblishing Co which specializes in genealogical resources that are out of print. I found my family history book there. Perhaps it would be helpful to others. Prices are reasonable. http://www.higginsonbooks.com/aaker-baerSC.html Mary
