Private e-mail address is: [email protected] But please tell me what is FGS?? I am a novice at this still and don't understand all the acronyms. If it can be opened in Family Tree Maker, Microsoft Word, Excell or Access I can handle it. LOL I am glad to be of help in you keeping accurate records. I was a little frightened about correcting you being so new and some folks take great offense to corrections. Glad to see you aren't one of them. :) BTW Jacob is spelled Jakob Thanks for the B-day on Francesca that helps. In your transcribing have u found anything for a Walter Peter Petroskie formerly of Shamokin and later Paxinos also known as Irish Valley? They owned and/or operated a dairy farm until Florence (his wife) passed on in 1964. It appears he was born in Suwalki Poland got married to Florence in 1910 and I THINK they immigrated to the US after their wedding. I can't find anything via Ellis Island of their arrival. He died in 1946 and the only evidence I have of his existence in the US is a 1930 census and a WWII draft registration from 1942. What I really want is information on his family in Poland. I THINK he was the only child to immigrate here from Poland at that time. Ancestry sadly doesn't have any polish collection and they don't know when one will become available either. I don't even have a picture of him. All I have is a pic of their tombstone. It saddens me greatly that the man who fathered my mom left so little behind here. There has to be more but I don't know how to go about getting it. Any ideas from ANYONE would be greatly appreciated.
