His parents were Abraham Brosious (1794-1852) and Catherine Bush (1800- died between 1873-1887??)--second husband Peter Hileman, though it seems that she may have resumed the name Brosious after Peter's death. 1. I would love to hear from any other descendants of Abraham and Catherine, who had the following large family: (a) Elias (born 1816, married Harriet Lyons (b) Abraham, Jr. born c. 1820 and married Rebecca Berger (c) Elizabeth, born c. 1821----married??? (d)Martin, born 1822, married Sarah A. Haas (e)Jared, born c. 1828, married Susan Renn (f)Jacob. born c. 1830, not certain if he was a son; married Eliza? (g)Amos, already cited above, my ancestor (h)Mary??? (i)Jeremiah?? not certain if he was a son. (j)Peter Shindel Brosious, born 1835, married Mary Jane Edwards (k) Luther, born c. 1839, married Margaret E. Fischer (l) Gideon, born 1840, married Mary Alice Poff (m)Louisa, born c.1842, married Peter S. Fisher??????? (n)Melanchthon, born c. 1844 (2).Louisa in particular I am curious about, as I am not certain whether ot not she married, but from information I found, there was a Peter S. Fisher(1845-1923) who married a Louisa Brocious about 1862; marriage lasted about 7 years. I have some photos of a woman who resembles Amos and some of the other siblings of whom I have photos, of a woman taken in Indiana , and I have wondered if this is Louisa. Did she re-marry? (3). I have two pictures of the mother of this large family, Catherine Bush Brosious Hileman in which she is wearing a brooch, oval--if that is the right term--at her neck of a man with a thin face and dark hair. I suspect this could be her husband Abraham Brosious. Would love to find someone who can verify the identity and best of all, has a regular-sized picture of him. Any help, suggestions, surmisals, comments, referrals, etc. will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
