From the Shamokin News-Dispatch, Thurs., Aug. 27, 1964 RETIRED SHAMOKIN PAINTER EXPIRES William Frederick Taylor, 89, of 906 East Packer Street, a retired painter, died at 9:15 last night in his residence, following a brief illness. A native of Shamokin, Mr. Taylor was born February 21, 1875 and resided in the local community most of his life. He was employed as a painter foreman for the Susquehanna Collieries Company and last worked as a painter for the Eagle Silk Mill, retiring about 1940. The late city resident was married in February 1897 to the former Miss Elinda Bell Weimer, who died January 21, 1941. He was a member of First Evangelical United Brethern Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lewis (Katherine) Schickley, at home; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Farrow Funeral Directors are in charge of funeral arrangements, details of which are published on page two, column one. ****************************************************************************** ** FUNERAL NOTICES Taylor - William Frederick, 906 East Packer Street. Funeral service will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock in Farrow Funeral Home, Sixth and Chestnut Streets. Dr. John Luckens, pastor of First Evangelical United Brethern Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Shamokin Cemetery.
