Anderson=Drumheller=Earlston=Girton=Keeler=Kreigbaum=Lamberson Eisley's Papers is a composit of marriages and marriage licenses, and deaths from 1800 to 1899 In book 28 the year is 1899 MARRIAGE LICENSE. ADAM DRUMHELLER 3-16- 1899 AND KATIE SCHREFFLER. BOTH OF WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP. HANNAH KRIEGBAUM WED FREDERICK CRESSINGER.....BOTH OF SUNBURY ....ON TUESDAY IN SUNBURY.........GROOMSMAN>>WILLIAM CRESSINGER this appeared in the newspaper on 4-27-1899 (these dates are not actual wedding dates necessarily.....but they are the dates that things "appeared" in the newspaper. DEATHS....same book...Volume 28....year 1899 E. T. Drumheller....3-9-1899........age 68 years 4 months 14 days.....died on Saturday...... born in Washington Township on 10-22-1830....He learned the tailoring trade and continued until about 1863 when he moved to Sunbury and started the same business at the Susquehanna House (Penn & fourth) and now occupied by Samuel Weaver).....about 1865 he purchased the Weaver Hotel (a 2 story frame building on Fourth and Market streets) which he continued until about 1870 when he erected a large 3 story brick building on the same site and named it "the City" .....he retired about 1881 and the business was continued by his son :OLIVER and son in law" T.H.Hutchinson, through about 1891 And after they associated themselves with other business ...his other son , HARVEY assumed it for a short time and then was run by his son; Dr. F. E. Drumheller (about 1894 to present). survived by wife and 4 children: Mrs. T. H. Hutchinson, Francis E. Harvey, all of Sunbury and Oliver of Shamokin' buried in Pomfret Manor Cemetery. it also says "see Mrs. William D. Hoffman....connection to this" 3-16-1899 Edward T. Drumheller....estate Note. In Sunbury, Executor ? & Executrix.. Dr. F. E. Drumheller and Ella Hutchinson. 1-5-1899 Miss Ada Kreigbaum age 20 years 2 months and 12 days....died on Saturday; from diabetis; at the home of her father..B.F.. Carmel on Monday ; he was stone quarrying for the Reliance Colliery and died while preparing to fill his smoke pipe. 6-30-1898 Justin R. Loomis age 89 former President of the Bucknell College recently died durning a commencement exercise at the institution. 9-8-1898 ? Reed youngest child of John Reed was buried in the Stone Valley Cemetery.... the Child's mother is the former Miss Shaffer (report from Hickory Corners) 1-13-1898 Abraham Reed.....age 79.....in Kansas City...on Sunday the Reed's were a New England family and moved to Easton Pa. from Connecticut many years ago and the son of Abraham. J.B. Reed moved from Easton to Sunbury the remainder of the family moved to Chicago.......then to Kansas City....(Family of 4 Brothers and 2 sisters reside Muncy and Ohio... brothers Reside Virginia Kentucky and Kansas City.......Abraham conducted an eating house in Kansas City and he had not seen his son...J.B. Reed since 1871 4-14-1898 Mrs. Amos Reed......age 80 a widow of Fisher's . Ferry buried on 4-12- in Little Mahonoy the former widow of Abraham Reitz. 2-3-1898 Farnsworth Reed......age 78 years 1 mo. 14 days........of Point Township.....on Tuesday, from Apoplexy.......buried in the Northumberland Cemetery......son of S. O. Reed of Sunbury. 9-29-1898 Joseph H. Reed of Milton ..of Company C. of the 12th Pa. Volunteer. on 9-14-1898 while in the service of his country during the war between the U.S. and Sapin .
