There was a Peter Stroup who served in the Revolutionary War from Philadelphia, later moved to Northumberland Co. and served from there as well, but was buried in Philly in 1793--and not with his family. Around that time Stroups starting appearing in Philly. My 3rd great grandmother was a Stroup. I'm trying to connect the Northumberland and Philly Stroups. My 3rd gr grandmother was Sarah Louisa, known as Louise, daughter of Samuel C, born about 1825 and son of (I think) another Peter who married Elizabeth Hartgen in Philly in 1815. I'd appreciate any help and direction you can give me. Merle
