Please can some one help me with some thing Harold William Bostian born September 02, 1904 in Sunbury PA was suppose to be in a Spanish American War? Can some one please help me to understand what war he may of been in? And how do you go about finding history on him if he is no on the site? http://www.digitalarchives.state.pa.us/archive He is too young for war 1 and was disabled in 1851 Thank You Jeanie
Although Harold Bostian was not born in time to be eligible to serve in the Spanish-American War, there apparently was no other PA volunteer by that name who served in the war. I checked a list of PA volunteers and found no Bostian, Bastian, Bestian, Boustian, or Bustian listed among the names. It seems that no ancestor of his, by that name, served in that war either. Jeanie, Could it have actually been the Spanish Revolution/Civil War (1936-1939)? I've had several relatives where the story of what they supposedly did got somewhat confused over the years, although there was often a grain of truth involved.
