Hi Jeanie: Have you ever heard of Rebecca Jane Adams. She is my great grandmother but I can't find her with any of the Adams families in the Shamoken/ Trevorton. Here is what I know: Rebecca Jane Adams was born about 1825 in either PA or NY. Both states can be found in census records. She married Jeremiah Pennypacker on 16 April 1846 in Shamokin, PA. They made their home in Trevorton where Jeremiah was the first tailor in town. Their children were Celeste, b. 1847, Emily, b. 1849, Elizabeth, 1852, Ellen, b. 16 April 1853, and my grandmother, Mary May Pennypacker, b. 2 Sept. 1863. All born in Trevorton. Rebeca Jane died on 27 January 1867 in Trevorton. Jeremiah Pennypacker had another family later in life and he and his wife are buried in the Trevorton Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. He died in 1908 and his third wife, Martha Jane Shipe, died in 1824. I don't know where Rebecca Jane Pennypacker was buried but it may be the same cemetery. Anny help will be appreciated.
