Kathleen, I checked the 6 volumes of Northumberland Burials along with the Farrow Funeral Home records and I did not find Elizabeth KITCHEN or Mary FRAILEY. Is there a chance that Elizabeth got remarried? or if you knew where they came from, they might have been taken back there to be buried. If I can look up anything else, please let me know. Genealogy is not only the study of ones family but the sharing of information with others. I am trying to locate the cemetery where Elizabeth KITCHEN and her aunt Mary FRAILEY are buried in Northumberland Co. The 1880 census for Shamokin lists Elizabeth KITCHEN as 57 (widow) and running the States Hotel. Her aunt Mary FRAILEY, 79, was living with her. Husband William F. Kitchen died April 14, 1876 and is buried in the Shamokin Cemetery - Elizabeth is not buried with him. The dates from the tombstones would enable me to search for their Obits. Are there any resources available that would list interments in the numerous Northumberland Co. cemeteries? Thanks - Kathleen Frailey Puls > > > > Visit my new website at: http://garys-genealogy.com > > Gary in Texas > > "Genealogy is not only the search for one's family but > the sharing of information with others" >
Gary - Thanks so much for checking all the volumes and Funeral records for me. They may have gone back to Schuylkill Co.but finding death dates and cemeteries there is difficult so far - thanks again for your help! Kathleen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gary L.
