Ray, so do I. A distant cousin says she remembers Sarah (unknown) sitting on the porch smoking her corncob pipe in the Tamaqua area. Apparently either a Frank or a Jacob Maury (various spellings) "went west for awhile' and came back with an "Indian" bride. I have records on the Maury's in Schuylkill county, but cannot find Sarah. We are not even sure if her name was Sarah in reality. Somewhat frustrating, huh? Rita I have to major lines that fit into this cagegory. I prefer to believe that they just "came in out of the woods" Both my Young and Ware lines seem to have appeared from nowhere. In the early 1800's 2 of Sam Youngs sons married daughters of Malachi Ware so they could have had something in common. It is also known that some "Indian Traders" had 2 families. They had one recorded family in the city and another family with an Indian girl "on the fronteir". Of course there are no "white man's records" of the family in the woods. This arrangement made it easier for him to trade with the Indians. Ray --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com<http://www.grisoft.com/>).
