Afraid I don't have anything for you but I find this such a coincidence. Karenhappuck Stillwell or Stillwater married John MEIDT/Might sometime after the war. John was a Hessian, who stayed in America. He was in VA with a General and next we find him married to Karen known as Carrie. She was Indian. A lawyer in western Ohio did much work on this and believes he found the tribe . I have that paper somewhere. She supposedly had a son Silas YOUNG when she married John. At least there was a Silas Young in the family, and my motherinlaw told me he was Karen's son. I have never found proof of that and he apparently didn't stay around the family. Two of the Might girls married Welker boys, and all 6 of the Welkers came to SE Ohio. If you ever see anything that might apply to this story, I would sure love to have it. Haven't worked on it for a while because of frustration. And a Welker descendant took over that research and I gave him all of mine. (Copies, I learned early not to give all). Oh yes, Karenhappuck was a "healing" woman and the herbal knowledge was passed down to my husband's grandmother. Doesn't help you much, does it? Just thought it interesting with the Young name.
