Of course, other sources say it was whites who attached the logan name to the sons: from http://www.cynthiaswope.com/withinthevines/penna/native/Mingo.html " Conrad Weiser records in his journals that he had little difficulty distinguishing between ShikellamyĆs sons. Hello There seems to be quite a bit of Indian heritage showing up here so I will ask about my brick wall. Does anyone know of a YOUNG that was married to an Indian or was raised by an Indian in the Northumberland/Cumberland co area during the period around 1750. My Samuel Young was born in Cumberland co in 1762 and served with the Northumberland co militia in 1778. We know nothing of his parents but have many family stories about him being part Indian. He was an "Indian Scout" at the battle of King's Mountain and always lived in or near to "Indian Territory". Thanks Ray Young --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
