But for the next question: Since the birth records don't start until 1893, where and how would I go about finding the birth record for my great grandmother born in Sunbury in 1884? Would the next step be to identify the church her family was associated with? If so, how could I do that? The family later relocated to Cambria County PA prior to the 1900 census. In Cambria County they were associated with the Brethren Church. The family names I am searching for are the following.
