Though it could have extended near to Centralia. when I google map searched for it, it marked an area we call the " snake road " I live in Mount Carmel so I know the road. it runs from Mount Carmel to just outside Ashland. I don't know the exact location of the mine, that area is very close to where Northumberland,Schuykill, and Columbia counties all come together. The reports could be listed in any of those counties, I've searched for a story related to my great uncles accident in the Mount Carmel newspaper but haven't found any,I may need to find newspapers from the other counties to find something.
