A picture can be found here spiritsocietyofpa.com/sspl.html ( half way down, left hand column) let me know if this is the building you remember as being the tavern. When I first started looking for the tavern I thought it was the building at the corner of rt. 54 and Bear Gap rd., that building looks as if it had a market. The building on the water co. property is situated in a stand of pine trees, it doesn't look like there had been any type of market near it, but maybe the water co. removed it. I have some info on the tavern, basically when it was built and the owners up to my ggg grandfather, Peter S Yeager, who died in 1871. Ihave no info on the tavern after his death.
