Hoch, run later by his son Elmer, then run by Elmer's son Bill (Bill's brother Ed is my grandfather), although my grandfather - and other assorted family members - worked there part time til he joined the army in 43. The restaurant was first located at 112-114 Front Street, then moved to 50 Front Street probably within a decade, where it stayed until just after the 72 flood when the building was torn down due to water damage. My grandfather's other brother John was one of the founding sponsors of the Teen Canteen (precursor to the Y Teen Center), which was located above the restaurant. He taught at Milton High School in the 30s & 40s and later taught at Bloomsburg University. I imagine you're probably just several years older than my mother, Cindy Hoch, who graduated from Milton High School in 65.
