D. 1, who died at Mary M. Packer hospital Friday afternoon from a three weeks illness with pneumonia, will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home and continued at St. Peter's church, Red Cross. Rev. GRAY, WATSONTOWN, DIES; VICTIM OF HEAT Mrs. Mary GRAY, 55, of Watsontown, died this morning in the Geisinger Hospital, Danville, where she had been a patient for the past ten days. She was stricken while at work in the Wilson Novelty Works last week, apparently a victim of the heat , and was removed to her home and then the hospital. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Annie WATTS, Mrs. Roy KERLIN, Mrs. William SIMONS, Steve and Oliver GRAY of Watsontown. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Dale RANCK. Sue Marcus

She was aged 74 years and a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, the Sunday School, and Missionary Society. Surviving is a daughter, Miss Helen GAUGER at home; two sons, George and William GAUGER of Watsontown R. D. Funeral services will be held from the home at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev.     2. From the Sunbury Daily Item, Saturday, Aug. 20, 1938 DR. H.Y HARTMAN, GRATZ NATIVE, SUCCUMBS AT 81 Dr. H. Y. HARTMAN, one of Schuylkill county's oldest physicians, died Thursday night at his home in Orwigsburg at the age of 81. He had practiced medicine 57 years. A native of Gratz, Dr. HARTMAN was the son of Benneville and Elizabeth COLEMAN HARTMAN. He was a graduate of Jefferson Medical College and located in Orwigsburg in 1880.     2. From the Sunbury Daily Item, Saturday, Aug., 20, 1938 STROKE FATAL TO MRS. MCINTYRE, WATSONTOWN Mrs. Martha Jane McINTYRE, 70, of Watsontown, died at her home Friday following a short illness. She had been visiting with relatives near Tyrone when she suffered a stroke. She was removed to her home Thursday and death followed. She was a member of the Reformed church, Everready Class, and the Missionary Society. Surviving is a son, Thomas McINTYRE of Watsontwon, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles THOMAS of Scranton. Funeral services will be held from her late home at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon with Rev. P. A. DeLONG officiating. Burial will be in Watsontown cemetery. HENDRICKS SUCCUMBS AT WINFIELD Ulysses Edward HENDRICKS, 67, died of complications following a stroke at his home in Winfield at 1 o'clock this morning. He was ill for two years. Born September 6, 1870 in Union County, he was the son of Charles and Lydia HENDRICKS, and is survived by his wife the former Bertha FETTER, and the following children: Annie, Charles and Eugene at home; Mrs. Monroe GOSS, Lewisburg; three grandchildren; two brothers, Martin and Bernard both of Youngstown, Ohio. The body may be viewed at the Maurer funeral home in New Berlin from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, and after that hour at the home in Winfield. Services will be held at the residence at 2 p.m. Monday with interment in Winfield Cemetery. Sue Marcus

During the past six weeks she has been in attendance at the French Institute and last week received her master's degree from the college. VISIT IN REGION W. L. GUTELIUS and daughter, Mrs. Warren SMITH, returned to their home in Washington, Sunday after spending the past week with friends and relatives in Shamokin, Northumberland and parts of Columbia County. In Shamokin they visited with Mr. and Mrs. E. L. HOWELL; in Northumberland with C. Warren GUTELIUS and Mr. and Mrs. William LESHER and also with Mrs. G. M. HOWELL and son, Murheid, at Rolling Green. TO LEAVE FOR CANADA Mr. and Mrs. Byron BROUSE and son, Bobby, and Mr. and Mrs. Francis BROUSE and son, Eddie, left today for a week's trip to St. John's, Canada. Enroute they plan to tour the New England states. RETURN HOME Mr. and Mrs. Ralph GASS of Water street returned home last night from a four day trip to Erie, Niagara Falls and Toronto, Canada. From the Sunbury Daily Item, Tues., Aug. 16, 1938 CLASS OF 1919 HOLDS REUNION With 32 persons present, the 19th annual reunion of the Sunbury high school graduating class of 1919 was held Sunday at the cottage of Mrs. Mary KNOEBEL along Penns Creek, near Selinsgrove. 15 members were included in the group. The afternoon was spent in games and swimming. At a business session presided over by Willard DYER, Winfield merchant, plans were advanced for the celebration of the 20th reunion of the class in 1939. The committee in charge of this event includes: Sam C. PRICE, chairman, Warren FEESE, Misses Verna FETTERMAN, Ann NELSON, Mrs. Elizabeth FAHRINGER, and Miss Sarah Alice KEEFER. No election of officers was held Sunday, as DYER and Miss FETTERMAN were elected permanently president and secretary respectively, at last year's reunion. A delicious supper was enjoyed and all present voted the reunion a huge success. Sue Marcus

BROWN of this city, recent newlyweds, were tendered a supper following their wedding Friday evening, by Mr. and Mrs. H. F. KLINGER of Shamokin. The bride is a niece of the KLINGERs. In attendance were 34 friends and relatives. Mrs. C. C. MALICK gave several readings. Mr. and Mrs. BROWN, the latter nee May E. RENN of Sunbury R.D. 3, were married by Rev. J. H. RHOADS at Elysburg. The former, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. BROWN of 969 Greenough street, is a graduate of Sunbury high school and is employed as a mechanic at the local hat factory. His bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest RENN of Sunbury, R. D. 3, and is employed at the H. D. Bob Co. Inc. plant here. The newlyweds will make their future home here. Sue Marcus
