The first two "1916-1950 Death Records" I read on the Illinois Website when I searched the surname SULOUFF had incorrect data for "Age at death." First example: Website data shows Certificate #0041620 Irena Violet Sulouff died 5/11/1916 at age 16 yr 5 mo 12 da (which computes to a birthdate of 11/29/1899). Compare Irena's Gravestone data in Sterling Cemetery, Whiteside Co. IL: Irena V. Sulouff 1912-1915 (which computes to age 3 at death). Additional controlling data: Irena's parents, Irvin Blain Sulouff (1884-1964) and Mary R. Reigle (1884-1946) were married 10/17/1903 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co. PA. Prior to 1911, when Irvin and his brother, Jacob, moved their families from Pennsylvania to Illinois, there were no Sulouffs living in Illinois and these were the only two Sulouff families in Illinois at the date of Irena's death. Irena's age at death reported on the Illinois Website, suggesting she was born in 1899, is absolutely impossible. She was actually the last of five children born between 1904 and 1912. Second example: Website data shows Certificate #0840299 Jacob Sulouff died 11/17/1932 at age 32 yr 11 mo 19 da. Jacob was born 5/1/1894 in Cocolamus, Juniata Co. PA, and died 11/17/1932, which computes to age 38 yr 6 mo 16 da at death. This illustrates the need to rely on primary documents and to verify all data posted by others on the Internet. I would appreciate some help if you wouldn't mind. My direct ancestor, George Troutner and one of his brothers was in Northumberland Co. in the 1790 census. John Fletcher Williams his daughter-Margaret Troutner's son says in his notes as well, as from a biography that Susanna Earhart, daughter of John Ehrhart married George Troutner. Another person says that Maria Catherina was George's wife. Could someone help me with the Troutners and marriage or marriages? I have checked every place I can think of on the web but can't find the marriage records. The John Ehrhart in question was killed in 1777 during the Revolutionary War and is buried at Bethlehem Moravian Church. That is not the exact name of the Church. I found some information recently that he may have been involved if not owner of Ehrhart and Bro. mill in Upper or Lower Saucon Twp. The only other information we have is that John was born in Prussia. Any help at all on this would be greatly appreciated. We do know that George was a blacksmith and in the early 1800s moved to Ross Co., Ohio. Susanna died of bilious fever on the trip. Thank you. Thank you. I believe the William Maclay family is related to the Widneys of California. I am descended from the Widneys and they are distant cousins. If you go to USGenweb and check the archives you can search by state...I have found a lot of information in the few searches I have done including in Northumberland Co. These Archives are for all the states and there are biographies, Land records, some census lists and histories, cemeteries and many other things. Just search in the state by the Surname or you can search First Name put and between and last name but put And between each word.
