I've no connection to these folks but noticed that Charles Fisher has a short bio on William Anderson in his book, "The Snyder County Pioneers". Have you seen this? I am new to this list and unfamiliar with this resource, but I'm researching Straub/Stroup. Can you please tell me about "H. Conrad"? Many thanks. Merle
In 1781 there was a John Frederick Kremer in Greenwich Twp., Berks Co, PA with Frederick, Jr., George, Jr., Godfrey, and Christoph Kremer. This family seems to be descended from Johann Daniel Frederick Craemer and his wife Anna Catherine, nee Wilhelm, a surgeon from Rommelshausen. They had children, Philip Bernhard, b. 0-19-1733, Wilhelm Jacob, b. 8-12-1738, and Johann Daniel, born 5-22-1743 who went to America with his entire family. There was a passenger on the "William and Mary" Sept. 26, 1752 according to Hinke, pg. 488. This information is from "Pennsylvania German Immigrants 1709-1786" edited by Don Yoder in the chapter of the Adolf Gerber Lists. That should give you enough information to research them further on www.familysearch.org Good luck, Elida ----- Original Message ----- From: jeanie stout <msjbostian@yahoo.com> To: <PANORTHU-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, June 02, 2005 4:43 PM Subject: [PANORTHU-L] KRAMER > I have an ancestor by the name of Godfrey KRAMER > I am told his name was spelled Gottfried. > His wife Abalone Hilderbrandt must of died after 1810 and before 1820????? > > A daughter Hannah KRAMER born Sept 20 1790 in Mahanoy Northumberland CO PA > > > I wonder if any one has data they could please on GodfreyKRAMER and family. > He would be my great great great great great great grand dad > If you would that would be wonderful. > Thank you > Jeanie > > This is all I have on him. > He must of had 5 sons > > 1790 Godfrey REAMER Mahanoy Northumberland CO > 1 male over 16/ 2 males under age 16/ 2 females > = 2 sons > > 1800 Godfrey KREMER Mahanoy Northumberland CO PA > M432 roll 37 page 707 > He is over age 45 > males 3 under age 10 > 2 males age of 10-15 > females wife over age 45 > 3 under age 10 > 2 age 16-25 > = 5 sons > > 1810 Godfrey KREMER Upper Mahanoy Northumberland CO PA > M252 roll 53 page 92 > Godfrey over 45 > and two men 16-25 > women over 45 > 3 females under 10 > 1 age 10-15 > 1 women 16-25 > Also George and a John both age of 16-25 > > > 1820 Godfrey KRAMER Little Mahanoy Northumberland CO PA > M33 roll 107 page 134 > over age 45 > 2 males 16 to 25 > Agriculture > 10-16/ 1 women > 16-26/1 women > > > > --------------------------------- > Discover Yahoo! > Get on-the-go sports scores, stock quotes, news & more. It has been brought to my attention that the email address for Marie Berens on the Northumberland County, PA GenWeb page does not work. I'm hoping that Marie is subscribed to the list and can let me know if she still would like to continue volunteering to do lookups and if so, what her new email address is. If anyone has Marie's address, it would be helpful if you could send it to me. Thanks in advance. Greg Price County Coordinator Northumberland County, PA GenWeb

Dear Toni, Smething knocked out my internet service so I've been spending most of the day responding to my huge stack of emails so it's getting late. I'll respond to you tomorrow. Please know that I am especially pleased to be back on-line, lovingly, Chuck
Agreed, with what Timothy has answered. I checked my maps in the "Pennsylvania Line" and the part of Snyder Co. which I remember some of my ancestors migrated to from Upper Mahonoy Twp. in Northumberland Co. was across the Susquehanna and at the bottom of Snyder Co. and was a much larger Penn Twp. back then, and seems like it might be called Chapman Twp. now. Marie, Posting this to the list, too, so you may get two copies. I found that Holshue note. It wasn't a will, but a deed settling the estate of Elizabeth Holshue. Northumberland Co Deed Book Z, page 802, 23 Feb 1837 Power of Attorney to Daniel Holshoe of Norweigan Twp, Schuylkill Co. by the heirs of Elizabeth Holshoe. To wit: Michael & Susanna Wagner, Henry & Catherine Swinehart, George Holshoe, William Holshoe, Jacob & Maria Yoxheimer, Elizabeth Everts, David Holshoe s/o Abraham Holshoe, dec'd & lawful heir of Elizabeth Holshoe. Will Book 2, page 277 June 1815, letters of administration for the estate of George Holtzshoe to Abraham Holtzshoe & Henry Yoxheimer Will Book 4, page 325 14 Mar 1853, letters of administration for the estate of Benneville Holshoe to Jacob Kauffman & Daniel Holshoe. Do you know Elizabeth's maiden name? Sue
Many thanks. Merle
In the 1780's, Penn Township covered virtually the entire area of present-day Snyder County. So, it bordered the river, but also extended well inland. Present-day Penn Township is much smaller. -----Original Message----- From: ORGANIZR01@aol.com [mailto:ORGANIZR01@aol.com] Sent: Monday, May 23, 2005 8:52 AM To: PANORTHU-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PANORTHU-L] New to list--Where to begin Elida-- Would you know where in Snyder Co. that Penn Twp is?
