Both are buried in Reed's (Luth.) Cem., Elysburg. I have a plethora of details on the Eister family ancestors and descendants. For David & Flora I have detailed information on 26 descendants and 17 spouses of descendants. I see we have some discrepancies in dates, often occasioned by nature of source information. We might be able to help each other if we compare sources and you might be able to fill in a few blanks from my data, which I will gladly share. You may contact me via [email protected] . Margie lived in rooming houses, especially in Sunbury on 8th street. John Penman was from Pittsburgh, divorced his wife and probably married Margie. This Jack Penman, the son, had polio of the lungs, but recovered and married a Polish girl from Shamokin. They had a daughter Dorothy who went to the University of South Carolina. Does that make any sense? Luzetta Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. It's been so long. i do believe your father is my cousin. My real name is Luzetta and I was nicknamed by Margie's sister Nell Jane (my grandmother) Letty. I always thought Margie Penman had a son named Jack. I know Jack is ofter used instead of John. I have a vague rememberance of a by visiting Margie at the home of another sister while I was there playing. I am 68. I never met Margie's husband whose last name was Penman. She was alone and living, I believe in Shamokin , when I was a child. I know where John Penman is not buried --Pomfret Manor in Sunbury. I remember Margie, Nell, Marion and Essie, all the Haas sisters, getting together at a picnic and discussing Pomfret Manor. They all had plots there and were discussing the Haas family plot and reburying the grandparents there. I got the feeling my grandmother did not like Margie's husband, who ever it was. I remember that Jack -- this boy -- lived somewhere else and when I told grandmother I wish he would come more often to Sunbury she said it wasn't possible. Sorry, I can't help more. I am now learning how to go through records. I have lots of old Northumberland County books, but some ifo is incorrect. My 1865 book is correct, but that is not what you are interested in. Yes, I do want to keep in touch. Thanks so much for all your help. Anything on the Hiram Marion Haas family is most appreciated. I don't know what happened to photos of Margie. My grandmother had an old album, but it's gone. Luzetta Weaver Newkirk [email protected] Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'll try to be clearer. John E. Hull married Mary Thomas. She was born Sept. 23, 1825, probably in Northumberland County, PA. John Hull was born in 1823, probably in Shamokin Township of Northumberland County, PA. They were married some time between 1844 to 1846. In the 1850 cenus they were living in Shamokin Township and had their first child, a daughter Luzetta, living with them. She was born in 1847 because she was three years old at the time of the census. Her name might have been Lettie Luzetta although I think it's an error. Luzetta Hull married Hiram Marion Haas. Hiram was born March 4, 1846. In the 1870 census Hiram, 24, and "Lettitia," 23, were living in Upper Augusta Township in Northumberland County, with his mother and father, John Suder Haas and his wife, Margaret Deppen. This is the Luzetta I am writing about. She may have been named Lettitia Luzetta because I am Luzetta and I was nicknamed Letty after my great-grandmother Luzetta (nee Hull) Haas. This Luzetta Hull Haas is the one I am researching and can't seem to find her marriage certificate or birth certificate, for that matter. I was told her father--John E. (probably Edward)Hull -- was a merchant in Snydertown and ran a general store selling all kinds of things. I think John Hull's father was named Isaac and I think his mother was named Catherine Ritter. Catherine Ritter's father was named John Ritter and her mother Elisabeth Fisher. I can't seem to get more information on John Hull. Any help you could give would be wonderful One of Luzetta Hull Haas' daughters is named Nell Jane. That was my grandmother.
