As a matter of fact, I think I am dead wrong. I believe that Peter 1824 is the son of Peter and Esther. In the 1860 census Esther is living with him and his family. She is probably widowed. I'm not sure who Peter 1804 connects with. I don't believe the Shadts are connected with the Sheddy/Shady clan. Most Shadts later became either Shade or remained Shadt or Schadt. Are you positive that Peter born abt 1804 living in Lycoming Co is the father of Peter born abt 1824 living in Delaware Twp? I could never link him with the family in Del Twp. Peter and Esther Shady are buried at St John's Lutheran on Musser Lane, Watsontown. (The River Church) Also buried there are family with the "Sheddy" name. Peter, born 1824, is buried at the Old Baptist Church Cemetery on Musser Lane. He was a veteran-Co D, 7th Pa Cavalry. Also buried at St John's is Erenan Shadt born 1813, whom I believe to be "Shady". She married Daniel Wertman. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have more info on this line of the Shady/Sheddy family if you are interested. Thanks! Date: March 14 1916 Newspaper published in: Philadelphia, PASunbury, Pa., March 13.--Missing more than twenty-four hours, Albert BATEMAN, aged 11, son of Charles BATEMAN, and Sherman MILLER, aged 9, son of William MILLER, prominent Sunbury residents, are feared to have either been drowned in the Susquehanna River or kidnapped. Until a late hour tonight searching parties have failed to get any trace of them. After attending Sunday school yesterday, the boys went to the home of David SLEAR, an uncle of the BATEMAN boy, leaving there about 5 o'clock in the afternoon. When they failed to be at their homes late at night a fire alarm was sounded, and posses of men and boys searched the mountains and surrounding country and dragged the Susquehanna River all night and today.
