I am a descendant of Joseph and Mary, and I have a great deal of information about the Bzura family. However, I have no information about the Dzienisiewicz family - in particular Mary's parents. This John Christian was born in 1744. His son, Christian was born in 1765, but I have him marrying an Anna Maria. John Christian also had a son John born in 1768. There seems to be some confusion on this line due to several marriages. John Christian b. 1744 I have as marrying 3 times - once to Catharine Conrad, once to Anna Barbara Vogel and once to Esther Angstadt. Would be interesting to clear up the confusion and get to the real story. My grandfather Slagle always said there was Indian blood in the family. Don't know if it was the Schlegel side or not. Seeing the above surname on the list brought back some memories. A good friend of my uncle was Ed Shickley, a marine in WWII. I believe he said he was from Shamokin. I was a child at the time but I remember his coming home to my grandmother's after the war. Betty
