Carmel, Pa area and I have info on the following: 10/5/1926 Miss Gertrude Conville married Daniel Campbell, Jr. of Hazleton. Gertrude Conville was daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Conville of 35 S. Hickory St., Mt. Carmel. Mrs. Thomas Conville was Sallie Hogan. Guests at the wedding were: M/Mrs. D. A. Campbell, Sr.; Mr/Mrs Leo McHugh; Morris McHugh; Mr/Mrs. Joseph Campbell; Mrs. H. L. Campbell; Mrs. William J. Ward; and John & Mary Campbell all of Hazleton; Mr/Mrs John E. Flynn and Fanny?, Mahanoy Plains; Miss Mary Henry, Ashland; Atty and Mrs. M. A. Kilker, Girardville; Mr/Mrs Patrick J. Quigley, Shennandoah; and Rev. Father Adrian Kilker, Wayne, Pa. 6/9/1930 Miss Catherine Conville, 26, died 6/8/1930; she was a teacher, she was survived by her parents, Mr/Mrs. Thomas Conville (Mrs is Sallie Hogan); and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Daniel Campbell, Evelyn, a member of the staff of the Mt. Carmel Public Schools; Mary, a student nurse of St. Vincent's Hospital, NY; Thomas and Joseph, all of Mt. Carmel. 10/22/1954 Evelyn Conville, teacher, died 10/21/1954 Evelyn Veronica Conville, native and lifetime resident of Mt. Carmel was a daughter of pioneer residents Thomas and Sallie (Hogan) Conville. She was survived by her parents, two sisters: Gertrude, wife of Daniel A. Campbill of Conyngham, Luzerne Co.; and Mary, wife of Dr. Vincent E. Fischer, Rochester; and two brothers: Thomas and Joseph, at home. An older sister, Catherine, died 23 years ago. My connection relates to the following: 5/11/1934 Catherine Elizabeth Conville died 5/11/1934 at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ellen Gallagher, 16 south Market st., Mt. Carmel, Pa. Catherine Elizabeth Conville was born in Ashland, daughter of the late John Conville and late Mary (Boyle) Conville. Catherine was a resident of Mt. Carmel for more than 60 years. Besides leaving her sister, Mrs. Ellen Gallagher, she leaves two brothers: John Conville and Thomas Conville both of Mt. Carmel. So the parents of Catherine Elizabeth Conville (b. about 1874) would be John Conville and Catherine Boyle who were born approximately 1840's - I know Catherine was born Co. Tipperary, Ireland. I'm trying to find where my John fits into the Convilles and also trying to find any descendants of John Conville and Mary Boyle Conville. Hope some of this helps you or any other Conville researchers. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have found more info on David F. Neary who appears on the picture you sent to me (he is back Row, #6) - he died 1/3/1958, he was the son of the late Thomas Neary and Margaret Gibbons; his wife was the former Margaret Muldowney who died in 1947. David was survived by his daughter, Monica Augustine (later married to Steif) and a son, David, Jr. both of Mt. Carmel, Pa. He was also survived by a brother, James Neary (Third Row on pic, #7) and a sister, Mrs. Olive/Olaf Johnson of Wildwood, N. J.(Third Row on pic, #8 next to James Neary). David Neary was also survived by one grandchild - did not say who it was but his dau. Monica did not have children and a younger daughter died very young as did a son in WWII so the grandchild may be child of David, Jr. You may have all this info by now but I wanted to pass it along to you. It seems Margaret Gibbons Neary, David's mother was deceased at the time of his obituary but I can't see where a Margaret Gibbons Neary appears on your picture who would be David and James and Katie Neary Johnson's mother. If I learn anything else, I'll pass it on. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
