Berks County History_Koch Families J. Clinton D. Koch-subject-was born on the line of Berks and Montgomery County, May 20, 1858, son of Abraham and Elizabeth (Dotterer) Koch and grandson of Andrew and Mary (Eshbach) Koch. I. Andrew Koch was a native of Saxonly, He came to Berks County as a young man. He married in Berks Co., to Mary Eshbach. They are buried at Bally Mennonite Meeting House. Children; Elijah, of Niantic, married Mary Mumbower, and they had 6 children; Eliza who married Henry Mack and they had 5 children; John of Montgomery county, married Sophia Greising and had 6 children; Henry of Allentown, married 1st Sarah Nester and had 7 children, 2nd a Miss Stoudt and had 2 children; Susan married Daniel Stoudt and had 7 children; Catherine married Jacob Huber of Niantic and had 9 children; Fietta married George Jacob, of Bally and had 6 children; Sarah who died at age 2; William of East Greenville married Mary Shiery and they had 5 children; Jeremiah of Niantic, married Matilda Latshaw; Abraham married Elizabeth Dotterer, and had 10 children. II Abraham E. Koch, was born near Niantic, one mile from the Berks county line, in 1832, he died Dec 2, 1902 age 70, He is buried at the Huber Church in Montgomery County. Member of the Falkner's Swamp Church. He married Elizabeth, d/o John and Elizabeth (Hauck) Dotterer. Children; J. Clinton D., J. Warren; J. Abraham, Anna A., married F.F.Huber; Leanna, married W. D. Frank; J. Grant died young, Lizzie married Warren Schanly and Katie who died young. III. J. Clinton D., on May 20, 1882, married Emma Schell, d/o Peter D. and Matilda (Schultz) Schell. Children; Elsie and Lulu Koch, Henry Harrison-subject- of Birdsboro. He was the son of Isaac K and grandson of Issac Koch. I. Issac, the grandfather was born and reared in Berks Co, he moved in 1902 to Montgomery Co. He married Anna Maria Kern. Children; Anna M., who married David Eagle; Jacob; Henry; Catharine, married George Kulp; Isaac K; Lizzie, married George Updergrove; David; and Malinda, married John Shirey. II. Isaac, of Amity, married Sarah Elizabeth Updegrove, d/o Levi and Sophia (Davidheiser)Updergrove, and they had two children; Henry Harrison and Roy C. III Henry Harrison in 1896 married Delilah March, d/o Issac F. March and they had children; Sarah Elizabeth, Albeta Ruth, Esthe Livingood, Isaac March and Henry Matthias.
