Co.K, 38th Regiment of 1863 (Easton), militia in the Civil War. Grotz, H. Pvt. Captn. Shafer's Co., Regiment ?, 2nd Brigade, 2nd Division, in the war of 1812 (appears to have enlisted following President Adam's request of 1814). 1780 Easton Taxable Households list Grotz, Jacob Sr. farmer 143 lbs.
