To anyone doing DEITRICH research. My Gt Gt Grandfather was ELIAS DEITRICH and after much research, I still can not find where in Pennsylvania he was born, nor who his parents were. Calculating by his head stone, he was born Feb 12, 1816 somewhere in Pennsylvania. The first record I can find for him is when his first son was born, Levi, in 1838 in Richland/Ashland County, Ohio. I have his life pretty well documented from this point on through to his death in September, 1884 in Definance County, Ohio. I am trying to see if anyone has done any research for the Deitrich line or if they have record of a birth or baptisimal record near this birthdate. ELIAS DEITRICH also was one of the original founders in Defiance, Ohio of a German Dunkard church, but am not sure if he was originally of this line of faith. Any help is appreciated.
