Soldier died 12 or 13 April 1838, widow applied 11 Sept 1838 at Ephrath in Fulton Co., NY aged 76 and was there in 1843. Soldier and wife raised a large family of children but one son, Henry Kretzer who gave his age as 51. In 1838 Hannah Cool stated she was at the wedding of soldier and widow but no relationship was stated. A note read "There is a Leonard Critzer in this file". On New Year's Eve, 1865 he married Matilda A. Johnson, born 1845 in Moore township. She was the d/o Henry and Dorothea (Hoch) Kratzer. Children; Victoria died at age 5; Mary, who married Edward Miller of Nazareth; Lillie, who married Albert Heckman of Nazareth; Deborah, married Nelson Rice of Allentown; Claude H. Claude H. of Allentown was born at Pen Argyl, Dec 26, 1885 Kratzer, Ammon J. was born May 28, 1850, son of Joseph and Sarah (Mory) Kratzer, d/o Jacob Mory (children of Joseph and Sarah; Ammon J., Sarah who died single age 53, Mary of Quakertown, and one who died in infancy). Ammon J. married Mary Rudolph, d/o Henry and Lovina (Snyder) Rudolph and they had one child, Victor Henry who married Annie, d/o James A., and Eunice (Cressman) Hillegass.
