Hi, since there are so many Brown families listed, I went to the Rev. war pension records to see if any Brown was listed from Northampton Co. ( I am no longer set-up to do one or one look-ups, I just do surnames) Brown, Peter, wife Elizabeth, NY and PA Lines, soldier was born in April 1748, lived at Sopas of Esopus, NY and in PA at enlistment, soldier applied 1832 in Rockingham, VA aged 84. Soldier had moved from Upper Milford in Northampton Co., PA in 1785 married 10 July 1778 and soldier died 23 May 1835. Children mentioned, Elizabeth, born 6 July 1779 married a Deitrick, Magdalen, born 20 Sept 1781, married a Duma, and soldier's son Peter Brown Jr. Brown, Robert, PA line, widow applied 1832 Northampton, PA aged 78, soldier had married Catharine Snyder on 29 June 1789 at Easton, PA and soldier died at Allen township 26 Feb 1823. Widow applied for BLW in 1856. Soldier and widow's son,William born 14 Aug 1792 (Brown, Robert. In Memory of General Robert Brown, a Pattriot and Soldier of the Revolution, who departed this life the 26 of Feb., 1823 aged 78years and two months) Boyd, William, PA Line, applied in Chester County,age 80 a resident of Bradford, vol. at Northampton, Bucks Co, soldier was born 23 Jan 1753 at Plumbstead Township in Bucks Co, after the war soldier lived in Northampton then moved to Upper Makefield then Chester County (now Delaware County) betweem the boroughs of Chester and Marcus Hook then to New London Crossroads then to Washington Co, then back to Chester Co in Nottingham township then to the Poor House at West Bradford PA Boyd, William, PA Line BLW (it seems this is the same as above) srv. as Lt. in PA Line, warrant was issued to John Boyd only surviving brother and heir at law of soldier (warrant issued 28 Feb 1795) Nancy Clyde, d/o James,(he died 1827, aged 78) she married a John Boyd of Northampton Boyd, Elizabeth, w/o Dr. John Boyd, died Aug 5, 1820, buried at East Allen and Zions Brown, Catharine, w/o Gen. Alexand Boyd was born in Goshenhoppen in 1826. He is buried at Bethlehem, Lehigh Co, he married Mary Fueher, d/o Henry Fueher. Children; Ellen the wife of Edwin Thomas, Horace, and Mary L,., married Edward H. Tait, of Easton. Horace, was born Aug 31, 1862, he married Oct18, 1887 to Emma E.
