Bucks County History Laros, John G., subject, P.O.Humeville, was born in Bethlehem township, Northampton County, Nov 16, 1843. He was the son of Martin and Mary Anne (Leves) Laros. His father was a carpenter and a farmer. His family consisted of 13 children, of whom John G. is the oldest. He went to Easton at age 18. On Jan 19, 1867, he married Sarah A., d/o Henry and Sophia (Cope) Sandt. Children; Carrrie M., Charles F. and Marion Edith. John S. Brown, subject, was born in Plumstead township, Bucks Co., Dec., 1815, he was the s/o Samuel and Mary (Shaw) Brown, and his grandparents Jsiah and Deborah (Wilson) Brown. John S., in 1844 married Rebecca J., d/o Mahlon K. Taylor of Taylorsville, Bucks Co.. Children; Edward T., Henry C., and Mary Jacob Hagerty of Plumstead, was born in Warren Co., NJ, Sept 22, 1838 and is the son of John and Catharine Hagerty, native of NJ. His grandfather James Hagerty, came from Ireland, and settled in Nockamixon township. Jacob Walters, maternal grandfather, came from Germany and settled at the Forge in Warren County, NJ. John Hagerty was the father of, Mary M., James, Jacob, Sarah E., Solomon w., Annie C., Sophia J., John W., Hannah M., and Preston W. Jacob Hagerty in 1865. married Mary the youngest d./o Henry Landis, of New Britian. Children; Maggie, Clara and an infants son. Members of the Presbyterian Church Benjamin Achey,subejct, of Quakertown, was born in Lower Saucon township, Northampton Co., Nov 5, 1848, s/o Lewis Achey, who came from Germany and settled in Williams township. The mother was Louis "Werling", d/o Andrew Werling. Michael Achey was one six children, John, Michael, Kate, Christian, Elizabeth and one whose name cannot be recalled. Benjamin married Jan, 1871 to Josephine, d/o Lewis and Rebacca (Bachman) Ritter, the former a native of Springfield township, the latter of Lower Saucon township. Children; Allen A., Benjamin F., and Estella R. Member of the Reformed Church Daniel Bartholomew, subject, of Richland township. he was born 1830 Bucks Co, married 1856, to Mary, the d/o John Stoneback, and had 2 children; John, deceased and George. His wife died in 1859, and he married 1860 Mary, d/o John Steiner. By her he had 5 children; John, Margaret, Lizzie, Amanda and Harry. It was as early as 1634 that 4 Bartholomew brothers and a sister came to America from London. Born to Andrew and Sarah (Barnger) Batholomew, parents of subject were the parents of 10 children of of whom are now dead except Hannah, Christian and Daniel, who is the youngest (1887). H. B. Edwards,(Henry Bartholomew Edwards) Quakertown, who was born Feb. 9, 1859, and is the son of Benjamin and Lydia (Bartholomew) Edwards. He married July 10, 1880 to Hermina, d/o Peter and Amanda (Shelly) Brown William H. Bartholomew, of Churchville, was born in Bedminster township, Bucks Co., Nov 17, 1853, s/o William and John (Rule) Bartholomew. William the father of William H., was a native of Bucks Co., he was the son of David Bartholomew, a native of this state, who married Mary Rule, of Rockhill township, d/o Christian Rule. William H., married Nov 28, 1879 to Hannah Smether, d/o Reuben and Hannah (Ruth) Smether. Best Wishes, Geri
