    3. Hi, did you get the Copes that I put up today. I know I have a file on Copes but darned it I can find it. War of 1812 Cope Abner, wf. Mary (Cope) married 2 Aug 1829 Montgomery Co. Soldier died at Hilltown, PA, lived in Bucks Co. Henry, Old Wars John, wf Mary (Shugart) married 15 June 1824, Phila. PA. Soldier died at sea 1 July 1859 William, wf Elizabeth (Marsh) married 5 Sept 1811 Phila. PA. Soldier died 21,22,23 May 1848, widow died about 1881 Boston, George, wf Matilda (Parkhurst) 2nd wife, married 17 April Smith County, TN, 1st wife Juda Cope Rev. war pensions "Cop" Andrew, soldier enlisted in Allentown,PA applied in 1818, NY. NY. In 1820 soldier was aged 66 with a wife Deborah aged 55 Cope Barachias or Barakias, MD Line, also TN Mil in the Creek War of 1814. In Old Wars, soldier's name is shown a Coop. Applied in TN. Soldier was born in Baltimore, MD on 5 Jan 1760 and lived there during the REv. moved to NC and then to TN Bucks County History-subject Addison C. Cope, of Perkasie, Bucks Co, was born in Hilltown, June 14, 1871,s/o Tobias G and Hannah Cope, and is a descendant both in the paternal and maternal line from early German settlers in Bucks Co. Joost Cope (other wise Yost or Joseph Cope) the paternal ancestor of the family of Hilltown, emigrated to PA in the ship "Adventurer" arriviving in Phila Oct 2, 1727. His sons Adam and Abraham Cope purchased land in 1759. Adam Cope, the 2nd son of Yost and Dorethea Cope, became large land owners. He married Margaret, d/o Henry Hartzel, children, Jacob, Abraham, Henry, John, and Paul. John Cope, s/o Adam and Margaret (Hartzel), was born in Hilltown. He married Susanna Savacool, d/o William and Elizabeth (Miller) Savacool, of Hilltown and granddaughter of Jacob Savacool who came in the ship "Brittannica in 1731. William S. Cope, son of John and Susanna, was born in Hilltown. He married Levanna Gerhart and they were the parents of 7 children; Tobias G.; Eliza, wife of William Harr; Monroe G., Henry G.; Amanda; Jane; and Leanna. Tobias G., was born in Rockhill. He married Hannah Cope, d/o Benjamin and Elizabeth Cope of Hilltown, who was also a descendant of Adam and Margaret (Hartzell) Cope. Tobia G. died in 1884. Children; Ella, William, Addison G., and Emma Addison G., member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He married March 18, 1896 to Alice Bean, d/o David B. and Mary G. ("Moyer") Bean. Children; William Washington, bornFeb 27, 1897 The parternal ancestors of Mrs. Cope have been residents of Rockhill for many generations. Rev. Peter Meyer, who was born in Switzerland in 1741 and with his widowed mother and three brothers, William, Jacob and Henry. William Meyer, son of Rev. Peter, was born in Springfield township, was born June 17, 1764, and died there in Feb. 18 1843. He married Mary Overholt, and their youngest son, Abraham O. "Moyer", was born in Springfield. on June 6 1798, died Sept 15 1871. He married Mary Geisinger of Upper Milford, Lehigh County and had 4 children; Willaim G Moyer of Chalfont; Fannie G., married Nathaniel Bechtel, of Berks County, Mary, the mother of Mrs. Cope, who was born Feb 15, 1838, married David B.
