Hi Brian Thank you so much for your response, appreciate it very much. I found a Henry Kregloh's name on what appears to be a Revolutionary War List and I spoke to someone who was very helpful at the PA Archives. He told me that if I have the card (which I printed out), that is what I would be getting if I sent away for info. Only difference would be that they would create a seal on it if I wanted to join the DAR. I did try to find Henry's information on footnote but it appears that the names only appear with dates and no other information such as age, where born etc. are listed. Thank you so much for the county and twp information which I need to see if I can find church records. Thanks again Marie **************Get fantasy football with free live scoring. Hi, Marie, If you want to join the DAR, you should contact your local chapter (or your state chapter if you do not have a local one). They have someone at each chapter, not to mention at the national level who will try to help you find what you need. It takes a long time though, even if you bring all of your documentation to them, and it must be solid documentation. As a DAR member, I checked the members site to see if there was a Henry Kregloh, and there were no Patriots listed with the surname Kregloh. Is that the spelling as shown on the service card you found at the PA Archives? All it means when a person is not listed is that no one has joined the DAR through that person as her Patriot. Joining will take longer as Henry's service will have to be proven, but you have that with the PA Archives card as long as it says it proves active service. If the spelling for Henry's last name is different on the card from the PA Archives, I will look for that spelling if you want to send it. If he is already in the Patriot Index, you can go with an ancestor number. Also, some of the research may have already been done by DAR or by a person who joined through him. Otherwise, you start from scratch, but don't let the process daunt you! Once you get him in there, you will have helped anyone else who wants to join in the future.
