    3. John George Kunkle was the first settler at Kresgevile. He was German by birth and he emigrated to this country about 1740 or 50. He had 14 children, namely Elizabeth who married George Serfass, Katie married___ Knecht, Maria married Solomon Christman, Bevy married John Slafer, Susan married John Smith, Margaret married John Winters, Christiana maried Paul Beer, Sallie married George Kresge, George, Abraham, Peter, Joseph, Adam and John. They had 10 children, Clara, Sarah, Henry, Catharine, Robert, Thomas, Elizabeth, Hiram, Charles and Emma George VanBuskirk, a former resident of Bucks Co, settled in Hamilton township, he married Elizabeth Werkheiser and died, leaving no decendants. Aaron VanBuskirk, also of Bucks Co., married Susan Wagner, and they had 12 children, Samuel, Jesse, Andrew, Jacob, Mary, and Anna (others not named) Desce ndant of Jesse, now residents of Hamilton township (1886) Aaron B., Emeline, wife of saac Marsh and Rachael J., wife of John Marsh John Bender came from Phila about 1824, settled near Sciota. Children; Mary who married __ Trotter, Catharine married ___Betchel, Elizabeth married ___Shebel, Deborah married ___Evans, all from Phila. and one son John F., married Sophia Kester, d/o Peter. Henry Singmaster-On the 19th day of Sept. 1749, in the ship "Patience, bought to this country 270 passengers from the Duchy of Wurtemberg, Among these was John Adam "Zangmeister" who settled in Bucks Co. His son Adam, when a young man, went from Bucks County to Millerstown, Lehigh Co. where he obtained employment in the tannery of Rev. Jacob Van Buskirk, whose daughter Lydia, he afterward married. Mr. Van Buskirk was one of the early pastors of the old Trappe Church and is buried at Hackensack, NJ. After his death, Adam Singmaster bought his farm, May 27, 1810. He and his wife had 7 children, John, Reuben, Jacob, Samuel, Henry and Charles, and one daughter, Sarah, who married William Miller of Allentown, 17 July 1801, Estate of Rev.Jacob VanBuskirk, Macungie township, widow Mary.
