Bethel township, memtioned his daughter Sarah, the wife of John Jacoby Bucks Co. History Henry Sylvester Jacoby, subject The paternal ancestor of Prof. Jacoby (subject) came to PA, as is supposed, prior to 1750, but little is known. His widow, Elizabeth survived him many years, dying at an advanced age, at the home of her son-in-law, Richard Schneider, in Richland township. Letter of administration being granted on her estate Jan 9, 1790. Her children as shown, Conrad, the eldest, Henry, who settled in Lower Mt Bethel, Northarmpton Co., George who settled in Lehigh County, John who settled in York Co., and Margaretha, who married Andreas Schneider, of Richland, a native of Zweibrucken, who came to this country in 1759. Margaret, probably the youngest of the Jacoby Family, was born Jan 6, 1749. Conrad Jacoby was born June 30, 1730. His wife Hannah, died Nov 27 1828 aged 99 years, 6 months and is buried in St. Peter's German Reformed church near Leidytown. Her later years being spent with her youngest son Leonhard, in Hilltown township. Conrad Jacob is buried in the graveyard of Old Tohickon Church at Church Hill. He and his wife had children; John, Philip,Peter, Benjamin, Margaret, Catharine, Elizabeth, Henry and Leonard John lived in Durham. He moved to Stony Point, in Springfield township and he died in 1827. Benjamin lived at Haycock until he died. One of the daughter, either Margaret or Catharine married __ Woolsleyer. Elizabeth, married first to John Fluck and after his death to Robert Darroch Jr. and they lived in Bensalem township, Bucks Co. Henry lived for a time in Bedminster, moved to Gwynedd and then to Andalusia, Bensalem township. Leonhard lived for 50 years near the Mennonite meeting house in Hilltown and then he moved to Allentown, Lehigh Co Peter Jacoby, 3rd son of Conrad and Hannah, was born Jan 1,1759. He was a member of the Durham Reformed Church. He married Catharine Trauger, born Sept 29, 1763, died Sept 4, 1844, d/o Christian and Anna Drager(Trauger) of Noxkamixon. The former brn March 26 1726, in Bechnbach, grand duchy of Hesse Darmstadt, came to America in the ship "Restoration", Oct 9, 1747, died Jan, 1811. His wife, Anna Barbara, was born March 5, 1729 and died 1821. Children of Peter and Catharine (Trauger) Jacoby; John of Doylestown, Elizabeth wife of George Hartman, of Rockhill and after 20 moved to Bloomsburg. Mary who married Jacob Hartman, of Rockhill, Benjamin of Springfield, Barbara, died young. Catharine, the wife of Frederick Laubach of Lower Saucon, later Durham township, Hannah married George Overpeck of Springfield and later moved to Miton, PA., Sarah died young, Peter, Samuel who settled in Northumberland Co, and Susannah, who married Jacob Schlieffer of Springfield township.
