    3. 17 March 1806, Estate of George Oest, Lower Saucon township, died about 30 years ago, children; George, eldest son, William, Elizabeth, wife of Henry Strunk, Magdalena, deceased wife of George Moyer (left 4 children) Rev. War Strunk Henry, PA, applied in Monroe Co, 1843. Soldier was born 8 May 1760 in Bucks Co and he lived in Northampton Co at enlistment and he lived there until 1813 then moved to Monroe Co., Soldier also srv as a sub for his brother William Strunk. John, PA wife Barbara, soldier applied in Pike Co., 1818. In 1820 soldier was aged about 79 and had children at home. Jonas, 21,Sally 18, Jacob 16, Joseph 14, and William aged 9. Soldier had married Barbara Hartzell in Dec 1781 and soldier died 3 Aprl 1830. Widow applied 12 Dec 1836 Monroe Co., near age 73. A son, William Strunk aged 35 made aff'dt in 1846 in Monroe Co. and he stated that his mother Barbary Strunk had died 25 Feb 1839 leaving children, Jonas, Joseph, and William and Sarah Utt lived in Monroe Co and Jacob Strunk was of Warren Co., NJ. Soldier's brother was Henry Strunk of Monroe Co. William, PA wife Mary, soldier lived in Northampton Co., at enlistmnt and soldier married there to Mary Englehart shortly before enlistment in June 1776. In 1830 soldier was living in Berks Co and was aged 73. Soldier died 15 Sept 1834. Widow applied in Berks Co 1846 aged 87. In 1846 it was stated that he had also rec'd a PA State Pension and his widow was receiving a PA State pension in 1846. Children; Jacob 1779, Elizabeth 1781, George, 1783, Catharine 1785, William, 1787, Susannah, 1789, Magdaline 1792, and twins John and Margaret 1794. In 1846 a Michael Strunk testified in the claim. Stroudsburg); Poplar Valley M.E.; Pocono Lake. Strunk-Monroe Co Strunk, William, great-grandfather was born in Germany, emigrated to America Henry Strunk, grandfather was an early settler of Northampton Co, he married Elizabeth Ace and migrated to Monroe Co. Children; 1. Madeline married Jacob Olenbaugh, moved to Ohio with his wife and 2 children; 2. George, married __ Mann, and died leaving 5 children; 3. Elisabeth, married Henry Consterman, of Middle Smithfield; 4. Jacob marred to Jane Merlin of Middle Smithfield, and moved to Northampton Co. 5. Henry married Rachel Transue. 6. Kate married George Ace. 7. Peter (father) Peter Strunk, was born in Northampton co in 1772. He married Betsy Cooper, d/o John and Polly (Grove) Cooper. In 1798 he came with his father to Monroe Co and later to Wayne Co. He married___ Canadey. His last years were passed on the farm of his son. He died 1866. Children; 1. Jacob who married Nellie Biles and lived in Bradford Co. 2. Polly married Philip Noack, of Monroe Co, and died leaving a family of whom 2 are living, Matilda, wife of Fred Transue and Wash. Noack. 3. Peter died in childhood, 4/ John C., 5. George, died as a boy. 6. Betsy, married Jonas Hanna, 7. Eleanor married Leonard Courtright. 8. Henry married Elizabeth Transue. 9. Katie died as a child. 10. Julia married Adam Bogert, 11. Benjamin married Caroline Yetter. 12 Luther married Samuel Couright and died leaving 4 children. John C., in April 1826 married Eleanora Hanna, d/o Benjamin and Hannah (Tock) Hanna. Children; 1. Benjamin H., married Benjamin Transue, 2. Elizabeth married William Miller. 3. Hannah, wife of Charles Albert. 4. Eleanor, died as a child. 5. Mary, married Andrew J. Fish. 6. Sarah married John Van Why. 7. Peter married Sarah J. Kramer and had a family of 15 children;8. Mose C. 9. James S. married Maggie Coleman and had 7 children; 10. John who died in childhood. Moses C. married Maggie Treible, d/o Peter and Mary (Quigley) Treibel. Children; Eva amd Charles died early in life, Samuel A., born 1870 married Nancy Van Why and had two children, (Clara and Maggie); 2. Laura, born 1874 married Philip Fish and had children (Peter, Hanah, and Moses. 3. John C born 1876, married Hannah Albert. 4. Mary E., born 1879 married Walter S. Howe. 5. Lizzie married Judge Edinger. 6. Moses. born 1884. 7. Violet, 1886, 8. Burson 1888, 9. Alonzo, 1890, 10. Ruth 1892. 11 Naomi 1894. Strunk, Clarance Rotenberger,was born July 18, 1901, at Trumbauersville, PA., a s/o Reuben and Sarah Strunk. He married at Quakertown on June 21, 1921 to Mary Andrews, d/o Joseph and Rhyma Andrews.
