John Kohl, son of Philip, was born in 1787 in Montgomery Co, he came to Northumberland with his father about 1840. He married Catharine (Rhoads), she came from the same section of the State as he died, and 5 of their 6 children were born in Montgomery Co. Children; Betzy, wife of Benjamin Trego, Hettie, wife of Philip Heckert, James, Daniel, Henry and John. James Kohl, born Dec 6 1831, in Frederick township, Montgomery Co. He married Nov 28, 1976 to Sarah Ann Bohner, d/o Henry and a widow of Amos Shipe, by whom she had 2 children; Lovina married Henry Dietz and they lived in Point township; Maria, married John S. Ballinger and they had 3 children, (Sarah, James,and Mary). Mr. Ballinger was born Jan. 1870 in Snyder Co. Henry Kohl, son of John was born Feb 15, 1838 in Montgomery Co. and he married March 27, 1872 to Louisa Bohner, of Lower Mahanoy and Salome (Reitz) Bohner. Children, Mary and John Henry.
