In Monroe County he married Mary A. Gerhart, Nov 28, 1836. In 1852 they went to Sterling now Dreher township. He died June 8, 1891, buried n Pine Grove Cemetery. His widow was born in Jackson township, Dec 15, 1825. Her parents, who were residents of Jackson township, Monroe Co.Her parents were John and Rutha (Bellows) Gerhart. Her father was a wheelwright, he died in 1883 aged 84 and his wife died in 1883 age 80, both are buried in Coolbaugh township. Frey, of Dreher, was born in Coolbaugh, Monroe County, Jan 1849. His grandparent, Joseph and Rosana Fry (as the name was spelled by them), were native of Baden. Germany. In 1834, after the death of his wife, the grandfather came to America, lived for awhile in NY, moved to Beaver Meadows, near Easton. He next went to Coolbaugh until 1852 then he went to Dreher.
