Kitchen-Bucks County Kitchen, Elias Carey, M.D., of Amity township, was born in Solesbury, Bucks Co., Nov 27, 1827, s/o William and Eleanor (Carey) Kitchen and grandson of William Kitchen, and died at his home in Brumfield, March 13, 1900. William Kitchen, grandfather, was a farmer in Bucks Co. He was a Quaker, his wife was Ann Paxson, also a Quaker. William Kitchen, father, was born in Solebury township, Bucks Co., Feb. 12, 1789 and died Oct 16, 1873, he is buried at Solebury Quaker meeting-house. In 1812 he married Ellenor Carey (1794-1877), d/o Elias and Hannah Carey and they had 8 children; Elias, died young, John, Ann, Thomas, William of Bucks County, Dr. Elias C Paxson of Northampton County and Samuel. Elias C. a grad. of Princton and a professer in the Female Medical College of Phila. In 1851, he settled in Berks Co. In 1856 he married Ellen Filbert, d/o Samuel and Charlotte (Kline). Mrs. Kitchen died Oct 23, 1900,aged 66y 10d. Two children were born to them; William F., and Charlotte. Best Wishes, Geri
