Geri, Thank You so much. I have a story to tell. In the rebuilt Lowhill church, in the hall way is a five drawer file cabinet. In the bottom drawer is a book that lists all the baptisms etc. from 1764 into the 1800s. It is in German and it is a real thrill to hold this ancient book but sad to see how it is being cared for. The book has been transcribed and all it's info. is in Ancestry.com. I wrote the Pastor at the church (part time) trying to get some interest in preserving the book, no response. I wrote the Lehigh Genological Society, no response but in a follow up letter they said they couldn't fool with it as they are focusing their time and efforts on an expansion project. The new has priority over the old in a Geneology society?
