Upper and Lower Milford township Hans Heinrich Jackel (Yeakle) emigrated in 1734 with his father, David, four brothers and two sisters, to this county. He married Susanna Heydrick in 1735. He had gone with his brother-in-law, Gregorious Schultz, to Jordan in Whitehall township. Because of the Indians and he settled in 1762, permanently in Horsensack Valley. He purchased, Dec. 6, 1761, the Hamilton tract from James Hamilton. H. H. Yeakel, died Dec 21, 1781, aged 74. He left 4 sons,(1). Jeremiah,married Susanna Wrigner and he died in 1800 leaving 8 children, one son (John and 7 daughters;(2). George married Rosina Schubert he died June 1, 1812, leaving (Abraham, Jacob and George and 2 daughters, Anna and Maria ;(3) Balthaeser,married Susanna Krauss and died Oct 12, 1797, age 64, he was blind for the last 28 years of his life he left two sons, David and Andrew and three daughters, Rosina Sarah, Barbara, and Susanna; and(4) Melchior Yeakel married Regina Schultz and died May 18, 1831 age over 98, he left nine children, Solomon, Daniel, Christoper, Isaac , Rosina, Susanna, Maria, Christina, and Catharine; and (5) Maria who married Christoper Schultz; (6) Susanna who married Balzar Krauss; (7) Anna who married Mathias Gerhard. Resident in 1781 Baltzer, Melchior, George, Jeremiah, Casper Jaeckel. Resident in 1812 Andrew, Christoper, David Jr., David Sr., George Jr., George Sr., Jeremias, John, Melchior Jaekel Best Wishes, Geri
