Mon Oct. 1, 1973 Brooks BETTS, Co-Owner if Sporting Goods Store Brooks BETTS, 59 of 22 Devon Drive, Palmer Township,died Saturday at his home.Mr. BETTS was co-owner of GRUBE and BETTS SportingGoods from 1946 to 1971.Born in Bloomsbury, N.J., on July 13, 1914, he was a son of the late Dr. James A. BETTS and Vanetta RICKARDS BETTS.He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II and graduateof Easton High School, class of 1932 and Harvard College, classof 1936.Survivors include his widow; the former Helen CLAUSE; two sons, Brooks BETTS II, a student at Colgate University, and Mark BETTS, a student at Dickinson College; two brothers,James A. Jr., Summit. N.J., and Robert B., Chappaqua, N.Y.The funeral and interment was held this afternoon. Intermentwas in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Raymond BELLIS, 77, Ex-Butcher in Bangor Raymond P. BELLIS, 77, of 445 S. 4th St., Bangor, died yesterday on Easton Hospital where he was a patient two weeks.Mr. BELLIS was a butcher for Heard and Sweet Market, Bangor,retiring in 1966.Born in Bangor, he was a son of the late Perry and BeatriceBRINTON BELLIS. His wife the Lena SNYDER, died in 1972.Survivors include two sons, Kenneth, East Bangor, and Sherwood, Locke Heights, Bangor R.D.; three sisters Mrs. Ella STERN, Bethlehem; Mrs. Martha YETTER, Easton, and Mrs. Alice FOSSE, Germantown, Ohio; three brothers, Floyd,Wing Gap; Perry Jr., Pen Argyl, and William, Ackermanville; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller Fumeral Home, Bangor. Lincoln Ave. Washington,died yesterday in Warren Hospital.She was the widow of John T. PRICE who died in 1960.
