    3. Johann Erhard Knappenberger came from Germany on the ship "Christian: Sept 13, 1749. He settled in Northamptpn now Lehigh. Among his children were the following sons; Adam, Conrad, Henry, Philip, George. A daughter, Margaretha, was born Oct 14, 1757, died Jan 1, 1850. She was the wife of Jonathan Knauss. The PA Archives reveal the remarkable record that these five son served the county in the Rev. Henry Knappenberger, son of the pioneer. located in Macungie township., his daughter, Katharine, born during the Rev., married Jacob Zimmerman, a native of Upper Macungie. Lydia Knappenberger, born June 27, 1785, died July 28, 1832. She was married to Henry Ritter. Barbara Knappenberger, was married to John Mathias Egner, who emigrated from Germany, in 1727. Daniel Knappenberge, born in 1790, died 1862, is buried at Unionsville. Philp Knappenberger born Aug 9, 1800, died Feb. 4. 1884, his wife Anna, born 1804, died 1888. Both were 84 years of age.; and they, with Harrison, son of Jacob, Knappenberger, born 1823, died 1857 are buried at Cetronia. Philip, married Barbara Stettler, Children; Jonas Philip, Jacob,Henry, Solomon, Tevillia married Theodore Schell, Rebecca married Leon Fentsermacher, Maria (Polly) married John Kemmerer, and Mrs. George Baer. Henry, married Helena Lick, d/o Samuel and Abigail (Brey) Lick. Both are buried at the Lehigh Church, Children; Henry, William, Amanda, married to Jacob Neimeyer, Emmalinda, married Joseph Fuder,Ellen, married Alfred Booth, Louisa married Cyrus Bitting, Ida, single, and Oscar M.., of Emaus. Henry, son of Henry, was born July 4, 1848 he married in 1868, Martha, d/o Joshua and Lydia (Kemmerer) Butz. Children; Oliver L., Jennie, who married Edward Kehm, Laura, who married Daniel Henrich, Meda, who married Charles Schiffert, Leighton F., who married Meda Schankweiler, Harvey H., who married Emma Ziegler, and Lizze, who married Henry Klaugh Oliver L., was born Sept 16, 1869, he married to Martha R. Knerr, d/o George and Sarah (Bastian) Knerr. Children; Howard Oliver, died at 16 months, George Henry, who married Mary Deppe, and Mildred Martha. Members of Seibert United Evangelical Church. Jacob Knappenberg, a grandson of the ancestor, was married and had sons; Jacob, Jonaas, who was killed in the Civil war, and Sarah who married Isaac Weber. Jacob, son of Jacob, was born in 1822, died Nov 13, 1862. He is buried on the old Egypt church graveyard. His wife, Louisa Ritter, d/o Jeremiah, was born March 27, 1814, died July 12, 1872. After the death of Jacob, she married 2nd to Levi Smith. by her 1st marriage, children; Jeremiah, died young, Frank W., and Hannah. Frank W., born in N. Whitehall, June 21, 1857, he married 1st to Amelia Frantz, d/o Reuben Frantz. Children; Maggie, married Charles Master, Charles of Coplay, Edwin. He married 2nd to Edna Rodgers, d/o Edwin and Rebecca (Young) Rodger, of Coplay. Children; Helen, Lillie, and Pearl. Best Wishes, Geri
